| Responsible for supply chain development and procurement of parts for Randy’s Ring & Pinion. Negotiates competitive pricing, timely deliveries, and assurance of quality product. |
|
• Track and facilitate the progress of product development. Manage and document vendor relations, sample approval process, and production delivery.
• Find competent International Manufacturing sources for company’s products.
• Find alternate sources for backordered, rejected, or highly priced items. Procure new, used, or overstocked items from non-traditional vendors.
• Daily correspondence with foreign and domestic suppliers to cover open issues.
• Manage systems to forecast product deliveries from vendors including review of current usage, on hand quantities, and trends to determine when product is needed.
• Prepare and review contracts, bids, proposals and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications.
• Negotiate buying and delivery terms with suppliers to minimize inventory levels and transportation costs while supporting demand requirements.
• Manage returns to vendors; track credits, work with the accounting department (and others), multiple warehouses and vendors.
• Consult catalogs and interview suppliers to obtain prices and specifications.

• Demonstrates passion and enthusiasm for the Company vision; motivate, lead, and empower others to achieve Company goals.
• Demonstrated ability to manage product development from inception to finished product release, including communication of engineering design concepts, vendor contract negotiation, timeline management and production scheduling for domestic and international manufacturers.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, team orientated philosophy, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to understand issues and make systematic and rational judgments based on relevant information.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines.
• Capable of resolving problems (internally and externally) in a fair and ethical manner; negotiating price, delivery, and quality issues.
• Comfortable using the following tools on a continual basis: Computer (+software applications), Digital Camera, Scanner, Telephone, and Fax Machine.

• Must have International Purchasing/Product Development experience.
• Experience with analysis and forecasting.
• Ability to effectively use analytical skills.
• Familiarity with MRP systems.
• Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize heavy work load.
• Superior people and negotiating skills.
• Ability to act as a company representative with International Supply Base and other international manufacturers.
• Experience developing and managing vendor relationships to ensure quality performance.
• Experience working with Engineering drawings, solid models, and reviewing specifications.
• Experience working in a Technical product environment a plus.

• College degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or four to five years experience in a Project Management or Senior Procurement role required.
Salary $85,000-$120,000 DOE |
